The Lake George is
located in New York.
Located in the northeastern portion of the U.S. state of New York, Lake George lies within the upper region of the Great Appalachian Valley and at the southeast base of the Adirondack Mountains. This beautiful and scenic long, narrow lake is fondly referred to as “ The Queen of American Lakes' ' It stretches 32 miles, is 3 miles wide at its widest point, and reaches depths of nearly 200 feet. According to the Lake George Association, the lake as we know it was formed around 10-12,000 years ago.
