A 60 ft. seagoing yacht with a wonderfully well thought out design by Bill Garden, Capella still exudes the luxury of her era. From dockside the massive flared bow and sweeping shear line aft commands a captivating admiration of size and beauty. Capella was built as a long range cruising yacht for a family of 4 and crew of 2. Designed by Bill Garden, built by Vic Franck and launched in 1961.
She is constructed out of Alaska yellow cedar over oak frames on 10-inch centers. Powered by a single 350 hp Caterpillar D-337T. ABT American bow thruster recently installed at a cost of $60k. New batteries in 2018. All new electrical and exhaust pipes in the engine room.
Capella also has a rare transferrable liveaboard (if approved) slip on Lake Union with view of downtown, her home for over 30 years.
She has 2 heads with showers, midship master quarters, 2 bow bunks, and 2 bunks amidship. She has all new dometic toilets with a 45 gallon holding tank.
Boat comes with 13' Boston Whaler, 2 kayaks and a paddle board.
