“Solitude” is a classic coastal/bluewater cruiser that spent the first third of her life on the fresh waters of Lake Erie. The current owners have enjoyed her for 17 years and have treated her with tender, loving care on the Connecticut coast of Long Island Sound. The 21 h.p. Westerbeke diesel has been meticulously maintained by professional mechanics. She sleeps 5 in 2 cabins. In lieu of the traditional V berth, there is an anchor chain locker followed by sail bins, a work area with overhead hatch and general storage lockers forward. Moving aft there is a hanging locker to port and shelves to starboard. The main salon has settees to port and starboard with lockers overhead. There’s also a center line double drop leaf table. A teak bulkhead separates the main salon from the aft section of the boat.
Next comes the galley to port with a propane stove/oven, and a fully enclosed head with shower to starboard. Finally, there’s a double quarter berth to starboard and a single berth to port with storage.
Sails include a full batten main with lazy jacks; a 150% Genoa with Harken furling, a 110% Genoa, and a storm jib. Solitude can do it all — from a great family cruiser for extended vacations, to a solid daysailer that can be singlehanded when the wind pipes up. We know you’ll love her as much as we do.
